Google Earth Mash-Up
There’s so many mash-ups out there — so much so that it seems like whenever I get an idea for one, it’s all already out there! I haven’t been keeping track but it ranges from mash-ups with Google Maps, Meetup, Flickr.. and others that make their APIs available to the public.
I haven’t been using GoogleEarth much but I’ve just found out about Google recently having new layers available for GoogleEarth - and these layers are now part of what is called the “The Geographic Web” — combining “…content from Wikipedia, the Google Earth Community, and Panoramio, a geographical photo sharing site. ” I can’t wait to try it.
